Awards Certified Builder Graduate The daughter of a contractor, Christine Fortenberry learned about the building industry at an early age. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech in 1971, she founded Fortenberry Construction, a company that has built more than 400 custom homes in Cobb County. Her skills, experience, and reputation for integrity and professionalism have earned her local, regional, and national recognition in a male-dominated industry. She is a Certified Professional Home Builder and one of only 43 builders in Georgia who is a Certified Graduate Builder, a certification program of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Christine is a career member of the NAHB, for which she serves as a National Director from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, as well as a member of the 50+ Council and the National Women’s Council. She also serves as a State Director with the Georgia Home Builders Association and is on the Board of Directors of the 50+ Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. Top 25 Small Business Awards In June 2005, Fortenberry Construction, Inc.
