Certified Builder Graduate
|
The daughter of a contractor, Christine Fortenberry learned about the building industry at an early age. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech in 1971, she founded Fortenberry Construction, a company that has built more than 400 custom homes in Cobb County. Her skills, experience, and reputation for integrity and professionalism have earned her local, regional, and national recognition in a male-dominated industry.
She is a Certified Professional Home Builder and one of only 43 builders in Georgia who is a Certified Graduate Builder, a certification program of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Christine is a career member of the NAHB, for which she serves as a National Director from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, as well as a member of the 50+ Council and the National Women’s Council. She also serves as a State Director with the Georgia Home Builders Association and is on the Board of Directors of the 50+ Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.

2004 Education Partner of the year
In October 2004, Fortenberry Construction, Inc. was awarded the “Outstanding Partner in Education” award in Cobb County along with eight other companies for outstanding commitment to education in our county.

YWCA 2005 Women of Achievement
In March 2005, Christine was honored by the YWCA of Northwest Georgia as an Honoree in the “Tribute to Women of Achievement” for community Service.
