Articles Authored Awards Community Involvement Philosophy Christine Fortenberry, owner of Fortenberry Construction Services has more than 38 years of experience in developing, designing, and building custom homes and light commercial projects. She graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial Management. As founder and CEO of Fortenberry Construction Services, Christine has been a unique player in a male-dominated industry. Her skills, experience, and reputation for quality, integrity, and professionalism have earned her local, regional, and national recognition. She is a Certified Professional Home Builder, one of only 43 Certified Graduate Builders in Georgia, and a career member of the National Association of Home Builders, for which she serves as a national director from the Atlanta Home Builders Association, a member of the 50+ Council, and a member of the National Women’s Council. Christine also serves as a state director with the Georgia Home Builders Association and is a board member of the 50+ Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. Her company was recognized in 2005 as one of Cobb County’s “Top 25 Small Businesses.” She is one of only six Georgians appointed chairperson to the National Republican Business Advisory Council, which named her Businesswoman of the Year in 2006. In 2005, she was named “Woman of Achievement” honoree by the YWCA of Northeast Georgia and in 2005 was named a “Partner of the Year” by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. A strong advocate of giving back to the community, Christine has been actively involved as a “Partner in Education” with Kemp Elementary in Cobb County, for which she designed, built, and donated an outdoor classroom. She has also donated time, services, and materials to projects for South Cherokee Recreation facilities and the Eagle Scouts.
